What's the point in the playoffs then?

Or is that just your opinion?

Stop with the opinion bullshit.

The point of the playoffs being a 7 game series is so that the best team almost always emerges. The raptors have no chance against a semi healthy Cavs team and everyone here knows it.

Your opinion.

And because I don't share it, you're acting like a twatwaffel again.

Beginning to sound like a broken record.

Again.

I mean it's his opinion but it is common knowledge to most who watch basketball that in a best of 7 series, the better team almost always win which was why a lot of people was disappointed when the NBA extended the first round to best of 7 because that all but eliminated the upset factor. Once in a while the team with the best team may not win due to their opponent having the best player as we seen with the Cavs in the finals in 2016.

This isn't hockey or MLB lol where a hot goalie or hot starting pitcher can ride the underdog to a series win.

Very very rare to see a real upset happen in a best of 7.

Oh wait, so it's not 100% certain the cavs would win the series?

Remember the 2011 Spurs? Or the 1994 Sonics? Those are just two off the top of my head.

Prior to the Cavs/Warriors in 2016, when was the last real upset in a best of 7 in the NBA? And even that series had a lot of additional factors that led to this happening. Steph playing on a bum ankle, Draymond game 5 suspension, and Bogut injury.

The 94 Sonics was a best of 5 series.

The 2011 Spurs is a good example though. Doesn't happen much though in best of 7 series. That was one of the few

If we had best of 5 series, I would guarantee that the Cavs/Warriors would not have met in the finals 3 straight years.

And that was between the #1 and #8 seed. A Raptors v cavs series would be a #2 v #3 seed

Sad thing is those Grizzlies matched up better with the Spurs than Toronto does with the Cavs. Just a bad match up for the Raptors. They don't have anyone who can guard Lebron and Lowry/DeRozan fold like a cheap tent when they see the Cavs in the May

Of course it's not certain. You are taking a stand on a 15-20% chance. Everyone else here is taking the other side. Why does that bother you so much?

15-20% is being awfully generous. It isn't that high unless the Cavs are missing multiple major pieces or LeBron.
