We will find out as the season progresses. LSU gives the nod because they have actually played offensive powerhouses (Oregon and Miss State). Bama hasn't played any offense of note yet.

Florida and Vanderbilt also have great defenses this year. After those four teams, there is a gap.

That's exactly what I said midway through the 2nd quarter during last year's Iron Bowl. I figured Auburn's defense had let Alabama run over them so much already that they must be tired...
