Best decision Kerr ever made.

That is the difference between Kerr being in the HOF and having a 2-3 year failed head coaching stint.

As for the Knicks, I am not sure they should be going after a name coach. They don't have a winning roster. They should be looking for a young and hungry coach then re-evaluate when they have more win now pieces. If I were Fizzdale or Van Gundy, I would want no part of them.

Female staff members at MSG also claim he has two hands...that wander

And after losing a 10 million dollar lawsuit the Garden rehires Isiah and puts him in charge of their WNBA team.

Agree. Heck, even a "name" franchise like the Lakers went with young, up and coming coach in Luke rather than going for a "name" coach.

If the Knicks are going to truly rebuild, that's going to mean a lot of young players coming over the years. A younger, less known coach likely relates to those players better.

Then, like you said, as they improve and become a playoff team, they re-evaluate and decide if they have the right guy.

If they don't want to go too young or unknown, then bring in Mark Jackson. He got the young Warriors on the right path and Kerr was able to take them the rest of the way. He could likely do the same for the Knicks.

This is exactly why Mark Jackson is the right guy. IMO, his only value as a head coach is an ability to unleash superstar talent (Porzingas) and turn around the culture of the team. He's a 4 year coach who you bring in to rebuild, then upgrade to a Fizdale or Van Gundy.

agreed. find an unknown talent.

And I would trade my best pieces and go full scale rebuild

Whoever they hire will be gone in 2 years. Despite losing 50 game 5 years in a row this team has one talented player, who is hurt. They have bad contracts with Noah (A disaster that one) and Hardaway that will strap them with the cap. Hopefully Frank turns out to be a player but he didn't show much this year (Granted he's 19) and they won just enough games to where they'll pick 9th give or take.

Fiz is gonna be the main option for many teams this summer but Blatt will get another job IMO.
