According to Sports Tonight and CSNNE, the Chicago White Sox have two of their major league scouts in Portland, Maine. Apparently they got there Thursday night and more than likely are looking at Moncada and Bieniti (I can't ever spell this kid's name).

The funny part is that all of the Boston sports media (WBZ,WEEI,CSNNE,NESN, etc.) now have reporters on their way or already in Portland. For those who don't know, Portland is about 100 miles north of Boston.

Anyway, Can't imagine the White Sox would have two guys in Portland to get lobster or clam chowder. The Chris Sale talks must be heating up and it appears that everyone is serious.

If I had to guess, I'd say Moncada and Jackie Bradley Jr. plus a pitching prospect.

I'd be shocked if JBJ is going anywhere. He's been one of the best outfielders in MLB over the last calendar year and is under control until 2021. JBJ looks to be a major part of the Red Sox future along with Betts and Bogaerts.

That doesn't necessarily mean they're going for Sale/Quintana either. Red Sox could be looking at Robertson or one of the other ChiSox relievers. Hell, the Sox could be looking at Shields.

I don't like it. No way JBJ and Moncada for Sale. Focus on a reliever. Sooner or later the bats will start coming around.

Came together at the right time tonight! :)

Personally I don't want to give up JBJ and or Moncada, even for Sale

JBJ's batted .285/.366/.541 with a 139 wRC+, 42 doubles, 10 triples, and 26 HR in 624 PA since getting recalled last July. He's been one of the best outfielders over that span and ranks 8th among MLB players in overall WAR over the last calendar year (6.5). 7th and 9th are fellow Red Sox players Betts (7.2) and Bogaerts (6.3).

Bucholtz went 3 and didn't give up a hit. Be careful heading outside. The world could be ending.

Haha, that just means he'll give up 10 his next outing. Red Sox should have done everything in their power to trade him after that outing!

His mechanics looked better yesterday. He was getting more drop and drive than usual.

His back leg was getting pretty lazy this year.

might end up being nothing, but it was a noticeable change with a noticeably different result.
