Just a little diversion before the games today.

So, I've put together a list of programs in various degrees of flux, either because of NCAA investigations, coaching losses (and potential ones), or missing possibly their best bite at the apple. Either way, it was a bad year for all of these teams in one way or another.

Which do you think will be the FIRST to bounce back and reach a Final 4?

Arizona
UVA
Louisville
UCONN

I know the Final 4 isn't the end all, but for the purposes of these programs, getting to/back there would mean they've gotten to/back to the top of the mountain.

I think UVA has a fantastic shot to get their next year assuming Hunter returns.

Arizona, UConn and UL are all multiple recruiting classes away from getting there. Arizona is losing a ton, and doesn't have a single recruit lined up. UConn and UL simply don't have the rosters at the moment and neither recruit one and done type of players. And I don't think their new coaches are capable of them landing them either.

Considering UVA hasn't made it to a FF in 38 years, I'm not sure they belong in the poll.

UVA will be the most motivated next year.

Anything after that...Louisville and/or Arizona will come into play.
Both have traditional programs and winning ways.

I think, unless there is some miracle, but UCONN is done as a major
player in men's basketball.

UVA may have missed its window. Though they are the closest now.

I think Arizona will get there first. Their booster support and recruiting pipeline (though temporarily severed) is just too strong too keep down.

Louisville also will be back on its feet relatively soon.

I was going to ask this same question after Duke loses to Syracuse tomorrow night, just when they might bounce back?

Virginia is the closest right now. They will also have their core nucleus of Guy, Jerome and Hunter for two more years. I expect further development from Diakite. Jay Huff is a name to look out for.

Obvious answer is Virginia. Since that's never the right answer I'll say UCONN just to be different

If you are talking about Top 10 programs, I think Arizona is likely the first one there and the last to leave.
Naturally making the final 4 is equal parts good fortune, good health and strong play. It's hard to win a national tournament.
