I know it will never happen, but lets play hypotheticals. NCAA decides to allow teams to pay their players.
Teams that pay their players
Teams that pay their players
- Not eligible for bowl game or national championship
- Eligible for CCG
- All players have to be paid
- If school decide to not pay its players and want a shot at national championship (or vise versa), they cannot pay any new players coming in after the decision and have a 5 year period to get rid of the players paid/not paid before they are allowed to switch over.
- No trading
- Under 4-5 year contract with 4 years of playing (if do 4 year contract, you do not have a redshirt season)
- In order to transfer
- Get school to release the contract, where the school has to buy out the contract.
- If quit or kicked off the, buy out contract.
- If still under contract, no transfer even if not part of the program anymore.
- No trading
