That's why Jordan Clarkson was missing all those shots in the Finals. It was all part of Magic's plan to sabotage the Cavs and get Lebron to LA

Going to be a process for sure. They won't make the playoffs, but it will be difficult to truly bottom out this year.

I kind of hope they keep Love. Because when Cleveland wins like 32 games and LA wins 55, there will be no debate about who the MVP is.

The Cavs roster was built around James and his needs on the court.
Of course it's not going to work around Love or anyone else.

depends on if they trade Love.

Hill and Jr Smith are basically expiring. There is a lot they have to look at.

I would keep FOR SURE- Nance, Osman, Sexton, Hood. Hood should be a decent trade piece as he this summer there is basically no cap room and the Cavs should get a pretty team friendly deal on him.

The East is better than it used to be, but with teams like the Knicks waiting on Porzingis, the bad Hawks, how bad Brooklyn is, how bad Orlando is etc., a route towards being really really bad is probably really not there.

Cavs need to hire Sam Hinkie
I would take him in a second.

I hope they dont try and compete. I hope they truly try and bottom out.

I dont think they will trade Love this summer. I think they will deal him later on in the season.

On Thursday it was pretty clear what was happening. Once I saw the rumor break that the Cavs would have had George last summer if LeBron committed long term I kind of figured that it was inevitable. AT the time Kyrie was still here. If he was not signing up long term to play with George and Kyrie then he plainly was not signing up long term. David Griffin obviously felt he knew this as well. Kyrie knew it as well in restrospect.

Gonna be tough since they have some bad contracts.
yah itll be interesting to see what happens.

Cap space is gold again in the league so I hope they get under the cap sooner than later and can make some advantageous deals by renting out their cap space. That is NOT gonna happen this year, especially since i think they do sign Hood, and i do think they give Nance an extension.

But I can see JR and Hill getting traded as expiring deals. A team can take them and then cut them with their non-guaranteed salaries. Thats probably a year away though. Its a great way for a team to create cap room though---- i give you Bad Contract X, I take back Hill and decline his team option. Thats how they were able to get quite a few assets last time around and its what i hope they try and do again this time.
