If He goes to Houston they will be OVERWHELMING favorites against the Warriors (unless somehow the warriors get stacked even more)
Depends on their bench and other players.still there, but they would surely be at least equal. I doubt overwhelming favorites

Yeah, no one's taking you seriously.
you are in complete denial. The Heat are capped out and have the least draft assets in the league, and have basically no one besides Richardson who would bring back anything in a trade. You are in complete denial.

Cavs could have Lebron opt in and deal him if he didnt want to sign somewhere as an FA. they have Love. Korver. The 8th pick. All their own first rounders after this year. Nance Jr. is basically the same thing as Adebayo. And an owner that is willing to spend WAy more.

I mean- just Love by himself is a better asset than anything Miami has.

Losing Ariza and Gaining Lebron. Is only a gain for the Rockets. They could give up their entire bench for Lebron and D'antono could keep his 6 man rotation and they would still destroy the Warriors in 5.

Lebron/Harden/CP3 arent losing to the Warriors who already peaked last year and are heading on the downhill slide
Nah, Le3-6 is super overrated, big time playoff choker. I learned that from you.

Yeah, you're high as fuck right now if you think that team would take out the Warriors in 5.

Even I don't think the Warriors would be a team centered around CP3, Harden and Lebron. Of course they'd need other work-able pieces, but if they somehow retained Capela too, it's game over.

@DorianRo thats a good point. Chris Paul isn’t going to become an iron man over the offseason and he will be 34 next season. How long can he keep it going? He’s not a freak of nature like Lebron.
they have pauls bird rights- they arent giving that up

esp. since they have to trade for bron anyway.

They likely won't be able to retain Capela. Beating the Warriors and handling them are two completely different things.

The irony.

I've just said that I've accepted that the Heat's stuck with what they got for the next year. By then, these contracts like Whiteside and TJ's are expiring deals. You're the one that's throwing out all of these hypotheticals hoping they'd stick.

Lebron could chose to opt-in, but that's if he's going to Houston so they could unload cap space. If he goes to the 76ers or Lakers, he doesn't need to be traded because they have cap space for him.

Adebayo's a rookie who's shown growth. Nance Jr. is basically locked in as a player skill-wise at this point.

Love is being paid over $20 mil per year on a long term deal. He's often injured and inconsistent. Why am I trading for that again?

It wouldn’t even be a series of the warriors stayed as is. I don’t think people realize how much the warriors have declined since the 2017 season. If they nab Lebron and keep capella rockets win in 5

Unfortunately, no one really dissects Finals wins/losses. When discussing the Bad Boy Pistons first title, they don't mention that Magic went down with a hamstring pull. When Lebron's legacy is summarized and completely and compared with the other all-time elites, no one's really going to get on him should he have won a title with Houston.

Magic AND Byron Scott were out. I remember that well.

However, it was pretty much assumed that Pistons team was going to win, and they won the next year anyway, but I digress.

LeBron has put himself in a position where he can catch Jordan as the GOAT, but he's gotta do it as the underdog, if he joins up with another superteam, it's over for him. And that's the only real thing left for him.

That's fair. Which is why I have the 76ers as the favorites. Because it allows him to stay in the East, and he'd have a better roster around him that's more youthful and athletic.

i think your smoking crack saying Love's value has diminished to the point where you could not get at least 1 or 2 first rounders for him

Made the last 2 all star teams- can still EASILY be 18 and 9 and shoot threes as good as any big man in the league and pass as good as any big man in the league. Phoenix would absolutely love a veteran like that to space the court for Ayton and Booker and rebound with those guys.

The Heat's scouting department? cmon man. you dont have any picks anyway! lol. that heat scouting department turned down 4 first rounders in order to draft Justice Winslow. They gave Tyler Johnson a MONSTER contract. They gave Dion WAiters a large contract when the year before no one would give him anything.

no way would i take the Heat's situation over the Cavs even if LeBron left.

wait, WHAT...???!!!

I figured this would be a big time thread- and right now the conversations are across a number of them.

My opinion is that his MOST Likely avenue is staying in Cleveland- but that is under a 50% probability.

Right now this is what my percentages are- and they are of course subject to a million things that could change before now and the beginning of July

1. Cleveland Cavaliers: 35%
2. Los Angeles Lakers: 25%
3. Philadelphia 76'ers: 20%
4. Houston Rockets: 20%

If just pure going for a ring is most important to him- it will be Houston. He will force his way there and they will move mountains to get him. If he says- I want to go there. He will get there.

If he wants to stay in the East- and be on a team that is very talented- but could use his leadership- he will go to Philly.

If he wants to try and shake things up and make a big story out of it- he will go to LA

If he wants to protect his legacy he will stay in Cleveland.

If he stays with Cleveland, and Cleveland can bring in a solid player on the MLE, and a solid player with the trade of the #8 pick- this is a very solid option for him. It depends what they can add. If they can say, add a good 3 and D wing on the mid level thats ring hunting, and a player like McCollum with the pick. I think he stays in Cleveland.

If the Lakers can pull off getting 2 max players- by signing LeBron and George, and then say trading some of their young guys for a third max player- the Lakers become an option. If PG resigns in OKC you can take the Lakers off the table.

If Philly fires Colangelo and hires Griffin I think all of a sudden they get a leg up. LeBron likes and respects Griffin and it would give him a connection to Philly and a little bit of cover as to not look like a mercenary.

If he wants to simply win and win big then going to Houston is the play. I dont think LeBron wants to share the ball that much though- and even if he wins a title there- does it really improve his legacy that much winning with Harden and CP3? If he wants to share the load with other true superstars this is the way to go.

Anywhere he goes ( or stays) will be predicated on other moves and factors.
My guess is that it is a total guess.
It will become clearer the next few weeks if you suddenly see a team making moves like the Cavs did a few days before he announced last time.

You think Waiters contract is large?
Look when it was signed.
In comparison to many others at or near his level, its much lower.

That was directed to @WiggyRuss , not @ChiefsLakers67

I figured...

it was the "we can get 1 or 2 1st round picks for Kevin Love" part I was un-believing...

sorry, but I wouldn't do that with any team with a decent pick...
