Question for you PAC 12 folks.

What the hell happened to PAC 12 men's golf? The league that claims Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods among many others didn't qualify ONE frickin' team for the NCAA team playoffs. Zip, zilch, nada. (ACC-1 Duke, SEC-3, Auburn, Bama, A&M, Big 12-4 OU, Okie Lite, Texas, Texas Tech.) Good gawd that's inexcusable! That part of the world has some of the best golfers/courses on earth! WTF

Guess "Generation Zers" (post millennials) don't do golf, evidently... TOO busy whining, right along with the Millennials. :heh:

I know the women have been good. The men should have 2-3 teams in it every stinkin' year. Hell, USC, UCLA, Az State and Zona should be in it all the time. No excuses for them.

GOLF...What about Baseball?

Only 4 Calif Teams and no Arizona teams in the regionals...that's
unreal. 10 years ago they would fill up 2 regions with just Calif
teams...now New York, of all fucking states, has more teams in
the regionals than California (5-4).

I don't know what's caused it, but I know their midweek schedules
have been cheapened, horribly. Hell, Pac12 teams would be
pushed more midweek than in half their conf games. That's what
made them so powerful, nationally. They had to have 5 legit starters
just to compete in the regular season. Then when they got into the
tourney, they always trotted someone out to the mound that was a
pitcher, not just a thrower.

Fullerton was 18-6 in the Big West but they tanked outside the
league. Fullerton-Stanford used to have some great midweek
games. Then you had Long Beach, Irvine, Bakersfield, San Diego
Fresno was Okay. The list was endless, now all of them
are mediocore. Neither Arizona or Az St in a regional...almost
unheard of. One of them always made it.

If they're gonna let all those illegals in, they at least ought to allow
in those that can field and hit.

I didn't realize there was a golf thread here already. I looked on the golf forum over the weekend and didn't see anything. Thought about starting one but as dominant as we were all year and as fickle as match play can be waited until it was over before talking shit.

Damn that was nice today. I was following along at work yesterday and the OKST ATM match was tight. Stroke play we had a historically dominant team but damn that was close. The afternoon matches weren't much but it set up for a nice final.

I knew I had time to catch everyone's back 9 by the time I got home from work so it was a media blackout this afternoon. Turn on the tv and instead of something compelling it was us going in dry. The people who follow golf say the match play format has cost Oklanoma State 2-3 natties because of the luck factor. Combine that with dipshit u luckboxing one last year and that was a decade of frustration being taken out on an over matched opponent who suddenly couldn't make a putt. Good guys burned the damn course down on the front 9 (-14 total) so it was over early. I loved turning the tv on to see that orange flavored scoreboard

Didn't know that. No excuse for that either. Tons of baseball talent out there.

OSU has been good for many, many years. They wouldn't have an excuse if it dropped off either. The Zona, schools, Stanford, etal shouldn't have drop offs either. JMO.
