Giants are definitely one of the more interesting teams to watch. Eli probably hasn't had that level of talent in his backfield since prime Tiki Barber but that never actually translated into success for them beyond being slightly above average.

Talented WRs but they also have an oline shuffle. I'm not sure there is a single stud on their oline. Maybe their left side holds up to be solid.

They look like a middle of the pack defense to me with Collins being their standout and I might be too optimistic. I'm not quite sure what their linebackers will look like in their new system.

Giants are a 7-10 win team imo but the NFL is so weird that I would never bet on that. Giants and Cowboys are so volatile from year to year that its hard to really judge what they are doing.

Yeah...if the over/under was 10 wins...it would be a risk on either side that you took.

I just think they endured a very tough season injury wise to key players...an inexperienced HC was grasping for whatever he thought could right the ship including benching Manning.

Should they have taken a QB in this past draft and secured their future at the position? Even if I wasn't ready to sit Eli this season I probably would've taken the QB and looked for a RB later in the draft, but that's water under the bridge now.

OFC...Whoever you are we all have that need to be wanted, to be appreciated...especially pro athletes when things are not going well. If nothing else I think Manning knows this HC at least wants him and that should free him up. Assuming Beckham is healthy and playing, coupled with a RB many feel is a generational type talent, they have the skill positions on OFC to challenge teams in a lot of ways. Of course, the additions to the OL have to gel quickly for that to happen.

DEF...I'm not overly concerned about the scheme switch. Pending the fallout of this Jenkins situation, they still have top shelf players at every level. They do need some young players to perform early, but the LBs...I think Ogletree played some 34 ILB at UGA so the scheme should not slow him down much.

Right now, I think they do no worse than 9-7.

We shall see.

IDK about quietly...but agreed. When you sign a perennial pro bowl DT to play next to arguably the best interior DL in the game...football fans see it.

As to the idea they overachieved I'd say that's accurate but only because winning 13+ games in the NFL is nearly impossible . You have somewhere between a 3-6% chance of doing that in a given year even if you're an elite team . None of that means they aren't very very good. They could easily be better this year but only win 10-11 games

It always strikes me as odd when people pump up teams with elite QB play as nearly invincible even if otherwise their roster isnt very good yet when a team has historically awful QB play and upgrades to pretty good they're still seem as no good ( Denver and Cleveland this year ). The difference between average and great is the same as awful and average so the improvement should be the same all things equal
