He was at his best with Gase. Like Tannehill inconsistent.
He won't have an O-line like he had with Gase previously but he received too much blame for Chicago's problems.

Cutler is going to do a really good job in Miami, IMO.

That year under Gase, his biggest problem (turnovers) disappeared. He actually went the longest of any QB that year, without throwing multiple INT's in a game. All the way from week 1 to week 16. Finally throwing 3 in the final game of the season.

Jay was never the franchise guy we all had hoped for in Chicago, but to say he took too much blame is the biggest understatement of all-time. When the team functioned around Jay, he won... period. He had a record of 38-7 in his time with the Bears, when his defense allowed 20 points or less. In 2010, 2011 and 2012 when he had Urlacher/Lovie heading that defense. He combined to go 27-13, and reach an NFC title game. In 2013, the Bears offense broke their franchise record for points and only trailed the Broncos that season. Who broke the points record, previously held by the 98 Vikings.

Jay is a solid QB. Nothing more, nothing less. You can win with him when you don't lean on him completely to carry you. He is VERY good when functioning within a team, he's just not going to be that Rodgers type and put them on his back. He may have a dud or two of a game for you all, but he'll also go on 3-4 week runs of lights out play. Those are very fun.

You certainly have a chance with him, and this is not a lost season. That's what I can say with confidence. I'll be pulling for the guy. Hopefully, Ajayi is okay and Landry isn't really in trouble. His girlfriend released a statement today saying that nothing happened.
