What P5 team has the best shot at winning their conference?

ACC

Atlantic: NC State is the only one who hasn't lost a game vs ACC and have a 6-1 record. Clemson has one loss vs Syracuse. Syracuse has 3 losses with only 1 loss in ACC.

Coastal: Miami (FL) is the only undefeated team in the ACC. Virginia lost a game but still remains undefeated in conference. Georgia Tech is 2-1 in conference and 3-2 overall. Virginia Tech has one loss and that is vs ACC.

Big 12

TCU is the only team in the Big 12 who is undefeated in both conference and overall. Oklahoma and Oklahoma State each have 1-loss. Iowa State, Texas, and West Virginia have more than one loss but has one loss in conference.

B1G

East: Penn State is the only team in the division. Ohio State, Michigan, and Michigan each have a loss but is undefeated vs B1G opponents.

West: Wisconsin might have the best shot at winning their division in all of CFB. Iowa needs to win out and Wisconsin needs to lose to Michigan for them not to win the West. Iowa, Nebraska, and Northwestern has 2 conference losses.

Pac 12

North: Washington and Washington State have one loss. Stanford has two losses but only one in conference.

South: USC has one loss to Washington State. Arizona and Arizona State each have one loss in conferences but has multiple losses.

SEC

East: Georgia is one of two teams in the conference that is undefeated. Kentucky has one loss vs Florida.

West: Alabama is currently #1 in AP and Coaches and is one of two in conference undefeated. Auburn, Texas A&M, and LSU have two losses, but one vs SEC.

Bama still has to face LSU and Auburn. They will probably face Georgia in the SEC CG. I wam thinking Wisconsin.

Easiest shot to the CCG, they have a very strong defense and an OL+RB to do good vs Penn State or Ohio State.

they're easily the biggest fish in a small pond

Georgia is a young fish but is growing at least...but if Alabama comes swimming by you better believe they're running away

I think Bama and tOSU have the best routes to a CC. I guess I'm just not buying Georgia or Penn State.

I've said before, I think the other three conferences do not have any "great" teams that can survive the parity those conferences have in them. Hell, two loss teams from divisons could win the CCGs and the Big 12 CCG could end up costing the conference a spot in the CFP. Won't that be ironic?

Clemson must beat NC St

Some other ATlantic team must beat NC St.

We'd win the 3-team tie-breaker based on better record vs Div opponents.

If NC State beats Clemson they'll pretty much wrap up their division. They'd literally have to lose out against Boston College, Wake Forest and UNC to not be in the title game.

I'm hoping for an NC State/Miami title game in the ACC. And a USC/Stanford title game in the Pac 12, just in case ND wins out(not likely)

I'm not really sold on NC St yet. If Bryant is healthy and playing, I don't think they can hang with Clemson. Looking forward to the game. When NCST is good, games at Carter-Finley are tough

Think Georgia will play them tough in the SEC title game but Alabama should still win the SEC.
