What Is The ONE Game You Are Keeping Your Eye On?

When you look at your team's schedule, what is the one game that you see and you know that's the game that will make or break your teams season? Or, what is the one game you are the most excited to see this season?

For me it's gotta be UGA. That's a winnable game with it being at home and could set the tone for the rest of the year. We get by the game we could be 6-0 or 5-1 heading into the game against USC. The overall schedule isn't too tough(4 top 25 teams) but it wasn't tough last year either and we went 4-8.

Georgia, definitely a make or break type of game. Lots of new people on the team, and it will be a good test. If we lose to Georgia, it could be a bad season.

I feel like this is a bounce back year for ND. I definitely think ND could be 5-1 or 4-2 heading into the USC game. After USC it's hit or miss with difficulty. NC State is a win, Wake Forest and Miami might be losses, Navy is a win and Stanford could be a loss as well. I'd predict at least a bowl game this year. How do you feel Notre Dame matches up against USC? You think it could be on upset watch?

I'm hopeful, but Notre Dame always or usually always has struggles with Navy.

I predicted Notre Dame to go 8-4. I think USC, Miami and Stanford are the definite losses. I think we can compete with those teams, but ultimately come up short. I'm actually more concerned about NC State than Wake Forest. NC State has sneaky good talent. But that game is at home, so it's a little less concerning. I'm never convinced Navy is a sure win anymore given how the last 10 years have gone.

I actually think we match up with USC pretty well. I don't think we'll have a good secondary, but USC needs to replace their top 4 WR's from a year ago. Our D-line, while it should be improved still isn't at an elite level, but USC needs to replace 3 starters on the O-line, so that could take some time for them to gel. But Darnold is the ultimate wild card because he's so good.

I'd say Ohio State is probably the one I look at and go "That could be difficult". I can't see Oklahoma losing to anyone but Ohio State, maybe Texas, and possibly Oklahoma State. It still baffles me that Texas is ranked in the coaches poll.

For Indiana, I'd have to say Ohio State. Crazy idea but hey you never know. Indiana and Ohio State have had close games when they play recently.

That's a tough week 1 matchup. I could see 5 or 6 wins this year. I could see 3 straight wins after Ohio State so if they upset Ohio State, might be looking at a 4-0 start.

It has to come to an end at some point (that's what I've been telling myself for 15 years). One of these times a ref call, or a ball bounce or a long TD run has to end up in our favor to win the game. I've seen too many OSU wins in the 4th quarter, too many close games, for them all to go against us.

Oklahoma can lose to Ohio state in a good game and not lose face with recruits and still easily make the playoffs by running the big 12 table. Conversely, with new eras beginning at both Oklahoma and Texas and the momentum Herman has at the moment, if Texas wins that game it can really drive them forward. If Oklahoma can wipe the mat with the horns then they can stymie things a bit and impress recruits they're both battling for.
