What firsts have your teams accomplished this season?

It's pretty telling of the current state of our program where an 11-2 season with 4 ranked wins, a conference title, and Cotton Bowl win could be thought of as a "really shitty season".

It's a very good season, I was just perplexed as to why an OSU fan would need to bring up something from 2014 in a thread specifically about 2017.

I don't know if "firsts" exactly, but:

Alabama has a record of .692 vs #1 teams all time, the best in college football.

Saban has 20 wins vs top5 teams, the most in college football history. He also has the highest win% against top25 teams, but is #3 on the wins total, 10 behind Joe Pa and 6 behind Bowden.

Clemson won't be as lucky. Some talking head stated that the ACC has overcome the SEC this season top to bottom. That is true. They will drop two of their first four and will have a major tussle with the Noles later in the season. They won't finish outside the top 16, but an 11 place drop will "win".

But from a betting perspective, anyone in the top five will tend to bring the most points, so i can understand that. I think Southern Cal and Penn St. would have been safer bets, but that's just me.
