Expectation isn't the result, it's the presumption or belief that you will achieve some lofty goals.

I really don't care. I like USC! So I'll defer to your expertise. I hope they get back to the top again. College football was pretty awesome back then IMO.

So winning the PAC and being in contention for a playoff spot isn't high expectations? LOL. Yeah ok.

Franklin probably bought himself at least 2 years of shitty seasons with last year's performance, especially when you consider the level he's recruiting at now. There will be a 'next year is the year' argument for 2-3 years.

Which brings me to Butch Jones. Like Franklin, a good recruiter, but shit coach. I'd say Butch is on borrowed time after last years collapse both on the field and off. There is a shot UT may win 5 games next year. 7 or fewer, and he's gotta be gone.

Gus Malzahn, like Ed O, is one of those confusing incestuous SEC hires where a bad coach just gets passed around from team to team.
