Allagash Interlude. Bought a bottle earlier. Might be my new favorite beer. Too bad it's expensive. :(

that looks/sounds tasty...wonder if they have that somewhere around here (DC area)

It was pretty good, but a little too sweet for me. Kind of tasted like candy.

Deschutes Red Chair dry hopped Pale Ale. It's just so damned drinkable. I crush 6 packs of this beer like there's no tomorrow after longs nights at work.

Many American breweries making Belgian style beers (and many Belgian breweries as well) will add candy sugar to their strong ales to boost sweetness and alcohol. I'm guessing that's where the sweetness came from here.

If you like the darkness but less sweetness and are looking away from porters or stouts, keep an eye out for Hair of the Dog's Adam. It's all over the NW at about $5/12oz. Seems pricy by case and 6 pack standards but it's not a beer you're gonna sit down and drink more than one of at aroun 10% abv.

Sounds good. If I can find it in Dallas I'll definitely give it a try.

I gave up alcohol for Lent, but did decide to break today and 'feast' with a few Sam Adams Rebel IPA. The wife got me the barrel room bottles a couple weeks ago for my Easter present, but instead of breaking into them, I decided to get a case of the rebel to be used over he next several Sundays.
