They should rise in the polls from where they are and put in a respectable bowl game. What were they? 22 or 23?

I lived in Lynchburg while I attended Liberty in the mid to late 90's. As much as I love seeing them succeed, they would not want anything to do with any of the top 20 teams right now. They get Oregon in the bowl game, but I imagine, unless half the Oregon teams sits the bowl game out, that Oregon will beat them by 30+ points. They have some good talent, but nothing that would make me think they would win more than a few games at best in the Big Ten, SEC, ACC, Pac12, or Big 12

This is why I'm in favor of two separate 8-team playoffs. Neither team deserves that shit.

These bowl games are a waste of time. Most of the biggest talent doesn't even participate these days. McCord just entered the transfer portal. It sounds like Bo will play for Oregon, but I'll believe it when I see it. It doesn't make sense with him entering the NFL draft. I imagine we will hear a lot more names in the next week that won't be playing in these bowl games.

The best part about a 12 team playoff, is that we won't need most of these "waste of time" bowl games where everyone either plays not to get hurt, or they just sit out and get ready for the draft.

With the advent of the NIL and the major changes to college athletes, it SHOULD be written into contracts that you will play the bowl game. it totally ruins the game. shouldn't be allowed to opt out, it's BS.

It doesn't bother me. The bowl games are glorified exhibition games now. They will turn into a "future players" game. After watching the injuries to players where they lost significant draft status due to getting hurt in a meaningless bowl game, I would tell my kids to do the same. At least the 12 team tournament will eliminate much of this.

Love how being undefeated got Liberty the bump over clearly better teams but not FSU. It's all a money game.
