That looks about right I'd love for the Ducks to get a 1 seed, but they'd need to win out through the PAC tournament and have a couple teams lose badly for it to happen. Honestly I'd be more than happy if they get a 2. Also not sure I like them being in the same region as Zona.:noidea:

This season is crazy. We don't have a 38-0 Kentucky type team this year. Everybody seems to be 23-6 or 22-7; in that ball park. All #1 seeds could be gone by the end of the Sweet 16.

538 put out an article like a week ago saying this was easily the weakest field in a while.

The Best Men’s College Basketball Teams Just Aren’t Very Good This Year

aka, something I've said since early in the season.

This champion will be a weak champion....but someone's gotta cut down the nets. And bling is bling.

Sometimes you just get lucky and get a weak field.

I don't believe that they'll put two teams from the same conference as #1 seeds. Since there's 6 major conferences I don't think they have enough wiggle room for two out of the same conference as one line teams.

#1's B1G, Big East, Big 12, ACC
#2's Big 12, Pac, SEC, ACC

Maybe the SEC doesn't deserve a #2 either, but that's where I believe the committee tries to strategically put teams.

Outside of Kansas & MSU who are near locks, still too much in play for the final 2 spots. If UVa/UNC meet in the ACC title game, I could see both getting a #1 seed. If not, the ACC gets a #1 and Nova/Xavier gets a #1.

I don't know about the 1's but i'd put money on Duke and NC playing in Raleigh as 2 seeds

I doubt Duke is a #2 seed unless they beat Carolina, and win the ACC Tournament. If they lose once they'll have 9 losses. There is no 9-loss #2 seed in the NCAA tournament.

In 2005 the Austin, Texas men's regional was fed by games in Indianapolis, Indiana; Tucson, Arizona; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Worcester, Massachusetts. This is due to the "pod" system enacted before the 2002 tournament to minimize travel for as many teams as possible, especially in the early rounds. Any team may be sent to any region and any pod, although the tournament does try to keep teams, especially the top-seeded teams, closer to home.
