I'm glad we had an off week for New Mexico. That helped tremendously.

We need Utah State to beat Boise.... But I'm not sure it's gonna happen. Sucks to lose 1 game and be out.

I could still see the Pokes stepping up to beat them in Laramie.

Don't forget, CSU still has to go beat AF at the Academy.

That game will be a grinder. I'm not even sure that they win. But either way, if Boise gets past Utah State, they will be in good shape of winning the division. Ajayi is probably the best RB in the MWC right now, and one of the best in the country. It's hard to contain him for 4 quarters.

We still have 2 games to blow it. For some reason we only want to play in the 3rd and 4th qts. And weather this time of year can play a huge factor in games, I went to the BSU- SDSU game the first half was ok the second half was just miserable. You could see it got to SDSU in the second half. Our next 2 games we will not have that advantage. It's not over til it's over.
the next thing CSU will face is keeping there Coach.

I will say this much... The Mountain Division is a much tougher division. Four 8 win teams right now...

For sure it's great to see such good competition across the board.

I was actually fortunate enough to see the Ramies play three times in person last season. The Colorado game at Investco, the Boise game in Fort Collins, and then the Air Force game. Goodness gracious that Air Force game was an ASS KICKING. I believe the score was 52 to 0 fairly early in the third. I can't remember the final score, but I honestly think it was like 62 to 7 Rams. Obviously Air Force is a completely different team this season. They look really good and certainly whipped our asses earlier this season. Should be a really good game when CSU meets up with them.

On a side note, my father is close personal friends with Sonny Lubbick. We tailgate with him when we're in Fort Collins before games and then go out to eat with him at his steakhouse for dinner afterwards. Super, super nice, classy guy. He always has a smile on his face and is revered in that town. He's originally a Montana guy and he was also the third string tailback behind my father at Butte Central High. Even though he played in the 50s and blew his knee out his senior year, my father still owns several rushing records in the state. He'll never talk about that stuff or those stories, but it sure is fun to hear Sonny tell them. Bobby Petrino's father was the second string tailback on that team and the legendary Jim Sweeney who coached at Fresno for years was their coach. Needless to say that team was pretty stacked!

One of the best seasons for Colorado State in a while

Hopefully the buyout keeps McElwain there for a while, it would be some fun competition for the Mountain division every year

I can see one of the P5s picking him up, I would like to see him stay and keep the competition up.

The loss sux, but doesn't really change things for us. Boise isn't going to lose to Utah st. We'd be bowling in Vegas either way. AF has a good team. Congrats to them.

You had a great season, should get a good PAC match up for a bowl.

Maybe we get Utah or Washington... Even though a USC matchup would give us the best test. But they will probably pick the former

Looks like Utah is favored by 4 to 5 points in the opening lines. Sounds about right.
