I looked at the AP and Coaches Poll from last week and both dropped OU out of the top ten after losing to ISU (deservedly so) and saw that they dropped both Washington schools out of the top ten after they both lost to shitty teams. But Clemson loses to a shitty team and both polls keep them in the top 10? Why?

Because Clemson has rightfully earned the benefit of the doubt. When you're the defending champs, have been to back to back NCGs and have quality wins in the bag, you earn it. They lose again, they will drop.

And they have wins over #13 and #22. Outside those two games and Syracuse, they dominated everyone else. The rest of their schedule, outside those 3 teams, 15-17.

After last week, Oklahoma had Ohio State and Iowa State. The rest of their schedule so far (before Texas) is 3-14. Oklahoma struggling vs Baylor the week before losing to Iowa State didn't help any, but dominating Texas did.

So far this season, Oklahoma's opponents has combined 15-22. That is the worst opponents' combined record among P5 teams. If you don't count OU games, it is 10-21 and is still last among P5 teams.

Because polls are stupid until we actually know if the wins (or losses) are any good or not. And that ain't right now! Remember when everyone thought Vandy had arrived because they beat K-State? That ain't lookin' too hot huh? And when everyone was ballyhooing Miss State for beating LSU. Look at Miss State now.
