Game Thread: Week 3, Los Angeles Rams @ San Francisco 49ers, 9/21/17, 5:25pm PDT

This game will be another test for these young Rams because of the short prep week and McVay and company are facing another bunch that knows him in Shanahan and company. WE should prevail but if we come out flat, we could be facing another loss. Hopefully we will receive better officiating than the Redskins game and we should see improvement on the run defense. Hopefully the offense will continue to progress. Let's hope for a Rams win and ten days and some rest before we face the Caboys. Enjoy the game everyone!

It's amazing...I live right in between LA and San Francisco and I can't watch the game because my cable company does not offer the NFL network. Making Thursday night football exclusive to a channel that not everyone can get is stupid. I'm thinking it's this kind of stuff that is hurting attendance and viewership. How can someone be a fan when they can't watch their favorite team?
Three Rams games and I've only been able to watch one game. That being said I think the Rams will bounce back and defeat the 9ers at home. If they lose than they can play on the NFL network the rest of the season for all I care. lol

SF ran the ball well against Seattle, so if the Rams run D doesn't get into shape, we can expect more of the same against the 9ers.

And Goff needs to improve his passing. He never looked at anyone but Kupp on that interception. He can't do that and expect to be successful in this league.

He has improved, what have you been watching? That INT was bad, but he has drastically improved. He is going to second and third reads, staying in the pocket and usually making the right throws.

As long as we can contain Carlos Hyde and Pierre Garcon, I think we will have a good chance to win. Although then again, I said as long as we contained Reed and Pryor against the Redskins (which I believe we did for the most part), we should win and didn't foresee the running game killing us as bad as it did. The main thing I'd like to see from us is continued improvements from Gurley and Goff. If there's just one thing I'd like to see Goff improve on for this game it's looking to his 2nd and 3rd targets and not staring anyone down if the primary WR is covered.

Unfortunately, I'm going to be working tomorrow night and won't be able to watch the game live. Going to try to stay away from spoilers and hope that the Rams can go to 2-1, get a little extra rest and be fully prepared for Dallas. I'm actually glad this is at the beginning of the season instead of around the end of the season where our Thursday night games have been at least for the past couple of years.

Just because I said he needed to improve a specific part of his game does not mean I don't think he hasn't improved at all.

I think we have to except that this season is really is Goff"s rookie season. When I think of it that way, he looks pretty darn good. But there is always room for improvement.

I know it's way early.........but I gotta say it's amazing the difference between Goff last season and the first 2 games this season. Looks like a totally different player.

Last season, I said they needed to throw the ball more to Gurley just to get the ball in his hands and see if he could make some plays......they seem to be doing that the first 2 games. He has 10 targets so far.

They have to get the running game going to lighten the load on Goff.....he has done good so far with the running game averaging just 2.9ypc. Imagine what he could do if they upped it to just 3.8-4ypc?
