red zone scoring:
2011 22nd
2012 16th
2013 14th
2014 20th
2015 16th
2016 25th
2017 29th

3rd down conversions:
2011 24th
2012 12th
2013 18th
2014 8th
2015 3rd
2016 15th
2017 22nd

the red zone numbers are not good at all, even when we had a decent OL. the 3rd down numbers are good 2 out of 7 years. but how many of those first downs were wilson running for his life? seems to be the only way our offense gets going is when he runs for for first downs on broken plays.

broken plays is not an offense.

Wow take a look at this.

Scoring...............redzone scoring % rank
2017 28th*.........2017 29th* *2 games, ignored for now
2016 18th...........2016 25th
2015 4th.............2015 16th
2014 10th...........2014 20th
2013 8th.............2013 14th
2012 9th.............2012 16th
2011 23rd...........2011 22nd

you know what this shows me is if the offense could get just a tad bit better at Redzone scoring when things get compressed down they would be tops in the league in PPG and it's not even close. Top 10 average in scoring yet bottom 12 average at redzone scoring LMFAO! (only using 2012-2016) When things get tight inside the redzone and stuff starts to get compacted down you need a strong Oline to give your WR/RB/TE room and time to find holes to sit down in. A Poor Oline team will almost always have poor redzone numbers. This is on the DUH scale

When we had a better OL we still struggled in the redzone. Its been a consistent problem under bevell and even when they make splashes to fix it it doesnt really improve.

You blame Bevell and Cable yet fail to understand the players have to execute the play.

and when execution fails you blame ONLY the player? what exactly is the coach responsible for?

The coaches are responsible for wins and losses.

This team wth Bevell and Cable is on a historic run. You wanting to blow that up because of your obsessions is destructive to the objective of the team.

and you really honestly think that bevell and cable have ANYTHING to do with this team winning? they are holding the team back.

blowing up the offense is the only logical choice here, going at it with the same losers is insanity.

I like listening to this guy on youtube when he breaks down games and players... In this video, he's discussing the Hawks OL and their running game vs the Packers... He shows how Lacy was leaving yardage on the field as well by not reading the running lanes as well as a RB should... Execution... Execution... Execution...

Sure. Let's get of Russ while we are it since our offense is so terrible.

you prove my point. we have a young, talented QB and still have one of the worst O's in the league. a better offensive coaching staff could get so much more out of him.

We don't have one of the worst offenses in the league. That's simply nonsense.

You simply ignore how PC approaches the game and ignores how this offense is TOLD to play.

Did you watch the game last or did you only look at the stat sheet? It was a blowout masquerading as a close game. The Niners basically had 2 big runs. That's it.

The Seahawks had 6 dropped passes 4 of them in critical situations. They also had some untimely penalties that killed drives.

I get that you want to blame Bevell because McEvoy and Prosise dropped 2 passes each but normal people blame the player for poor execution.

You want to blame Bevell for something? Not acknowledging that Carson should be our starter to start the season.

4 dropped passes should not totally decimate your offensive output.

years ago under holmgren we had huge dropsy issues and it didnt limit the team to 12 points a game or less. this is an extremely fragile offense where a few dropped passes can result in nearly losing AT HOME to a team that probably wins 4 games all year.

but go ahead, blame the players lack of execution and NOT the coaching staff.

Let's see, we had W. Jones, Hutch, Tobeck (all 3 probowlers and 2 HOF) on that OL... We had one of the best OL's during that time frame... Gray and Locklear weren't chump change on the right side either... That team could overcome a few dropped passes each game... This team cannot at the moment...

If we had the same OL in '05 today, you'd be gloating about how Bevel's the best OC you'd ever seen...

Also, if anything, you should start a fire Pete Carroll and John Schneider campaign since they're the ones keeping the guys you hate...

The Seahawks have been a top 10 offense 5 times in the Russ era. Number of times the Seahawks were a top 10 offenses in the Holmgren era, which spanned 10 years? 3

Stop playing Madden and watch more football.

we have been ranked #8 or 9 in points four times, hovering around 25ppg. then last year we dropped to 22ppg. no improvement.

if holmgren had this defense, we would have won multiple superbowls.

Reading that gave me a wild idea. What would you think if next offseason Holgrem became OC? Would you become a glass half full guy?

If the Hawks score over 20 points, snuggles doesn't post for a week... Deal?

... and shame on Homegren for not having a good defense... Good thing he was fired so we could get a new coaching staff in there that would eventually win the city of Seattle a Superbowl...

If PC had Walter Jones playing LT this team would have won multiple Super Bowls.

The reality is that this offense has been consistently better than the Holmgren era teams. Last year they regressed because of numerous injuries.
