Right, but they promoted from within.

Who is on the Seahawks staff right now that we're confident is going to step in and blow Bevell or Cable out of the water?

Who cares? Its about as bad as it gets, couldnt get much worse.

On top of that, its another indictment of the O coaches that they arent developing anybody.

So when we fire the coaches, the offense completes sputters and the team goes 9-7 and misses the playoffs, what will you say?

Anyone who can rub two brain cells together cares. You don't make changes unless they make you better. Who is available RIGHT NOW?

Its already completely sputtering, thats the point.

If we fire Cable and Bevell, do Prosise and McEvoy catch those TD passes? What about the other 4 drops?

The game on Sunday was a domination masquerading as a close game due to some poor personal execution.

Exactly, blame the players, as usual.

Rams put up 14 points in 1 quarter on the 9ers in san fran and threatening to put up more.

Seahawks put up 12 and 9 points in their first two games of the season in '16... Then in the 3rd game they put up 37 so what's your point?

Note, it's much easier to execute with a OL that is doing their job...

Here's my totem pole of blame

Tom Cable needs to be at the top. He has gotten how many years now to draft, sign and develop players on the offensive line and we are still where we're at right now?

Hard to judge Bevell because what if in one instance he calls the perfect checkmate call against the opposing defense but the play needs 4 seconds to develop and Russell gets sacked or hurried out the pocket within 2 seconds?

The players on the O-line needs to be second to blame. There are plays where these guys completely whiff on their blocks and Russell is under pressure the moment the ball is snapped.

After that it's debatable between Bevell, Russell, Graham, and stupid Seattle City Council for refusing to vote for Hansen's Sodo Group

I don't necessarily disagree with your post but the quote above is the one I tend to question the most... For this reason... How do we know Cable hasn't asked Pete or John to get a better upgrade at one of the OL positions over the past few years? How do we know he wasn't upset over the trade of Unger for Graham? How do we know he didn't fight to keep Okung, Carpenter or Sweezy? We don't know this so it's hard to blame Cable for the players he's been given to work with... How do we know that it's solely been Cables decision on who to draft or resign? Just hard to gage imo because we don't know the nuts of bolts of what's discussed internally behind closed doors...

just look at glowinski, 4th round pick, year 2 under cable and the guy has basically no technique. he whiffed hard pretty much all game long against the niners.

i just cant see how we dont find any old OL out there and start them with better results. the only explanation is the coaching.

bevell has had 6 years to figure out how to run an offense with a shit OL and hasnt figured it out yet. how is he not to blame? if your QB has 2 seconds, STOP RUNNING PLAYS THAT TAKE 5 SECONDS TO DEVELOP.

and he cant utilize star players, even when we had a semi decent OL.

The players are the ones executing the plays. This isn't Madden.

So it's coaches fault that they dropped those passes? Good to know.

Yeah and the Niners have scored 20 already. So what?

So how do you know Cable wanted Glowinski? Maybe he told Carroll and John that he didn't think he could make in the NFL... What if John told him, you're good at your job you can make it work? Again, you don't know what conversations go on behind closed doors... Haven't you learned anything watching these 30 for 30 on ESPN?

this is nonsense. other OL coaches are able to coach up whatever OL their team picks. cable has to have his own guys hand picked? and even then he cant coach them up!

if the players are all to blame and the GM, maybe we dont even need coaches at all.

41 points by the rams BTW, FORTY ONE, in san fran mind you.

we get 12 points at home.

Seahawks with Bevell average scoring offense is top 10, Before Bevell average scoring position was bottom 10.
Remember this is with some of the WORST olines in the league and when they were bottom 10 they had a average oline.

The Fact Bevell has been able to do that with some of the worst olines in Seahawks history is crazy, just imagine what could happen if they learned how to block. The offense will only go as far as this awfully coached Oline takes them. Sooner or later they have to do something drastic to fix what has become the most common story in the NFL over the past 5+ Seasons " Seahawks oline sucks"

2 games 2017 28th
2016 18th
2015 4th
2014 10th
2013 8th
2012 9th

2011 23rd Bevells first year.

2010 23rd
2009 25th
2008 25th

Live and die in the trenches, Oline is the biggest issue on this team but hey it's one of the biggest issues in the NFL also. Thankfully the Hawks are not alone in this but they are near or at the bottom so the Oline is the worst of the worst. sad :(

Thanks for nothing Cable.

what would those top 10 scoring offenses look like with a top 15 Oline instead of the bottom 2? it's sad to think about the fact we most likely would have had 4+ Superbowl wins.

What i was trying to say in the above post is Bevell has issues like his offenses always being bottom half in passing ( no shocker with AP in Minny and Russell/Lynch in Seattle) yards but his offense is not the main problem. Execution, Drops and no blocking what so ever has been the downfall of this offense so far. Bevell can be predictable we all know that but when you are in long situations Draws become predictable lol.

Do i think Bevell is a Great OC? No but his problems are minor compared to the Olines and we can win with him as the OC but we can not win with the Oline issues we have seen consistently in the playoffs as in 15,16. Starting slow and trying to catch up in the last 5 minutes of games doesn't work lol i put part of that blame on Bevell but his part is small compared to other Positional coaches. Cable's part is HUGE! His part effects the whole offense massively.
