<puts on Mr S hat>

Except Bevell didn't draw that up. Guy is incompetent. That was just sandlot football. Everybody freelancing.

<takes off Mr. S hat>

True... I don't know why Bevel didn't make CJ wear special gloves... He should've known he was going to drop the ball in that situation...

according to you, it was 4 years ago during the last play of the SB against NE...

On a serious note, Carrol always takes responsibility for everything w/ the Seahawks... Always...

You have yet to explain to me what exactly YOU'RE doing that's bringing about change.

He already said that he would've ran it 4x's straight during the SB against NE when we were w/ in the 5 yard line... What more do you want?

I would replace Tom Cable with one of the assistant o-line coaches from one of the teams who have o-lines generally in the top ten.

But you get that no team is going to allow that to happen mid-season, right? Teams will let guys move on in the off-season, especially if they're getting promoted (see: our last 2 D-coordinators), but no way/no how will they let them out of their contract to go to a competitor in season.

Yes, that's common knowledge. Offseason to talk change of o-line coach.

Right, which is what I thought. I'm not opposed to getting rid of either B or C, but I have confidence that the team will do it the only way to do it right, in the off-season.

If the team, forinstance doesn't make the playoffs this year, one of the two will go.

But absolutely, get someone good if you're going to do it. No re-treads. No guys with issues.

saying "my bad" isnt taking responsibility.

last year cable was blaming THE WHOLE OFFENSE for his units complete ineptitude. thats not taking responsibility. cable is POS with no coaching ability.

If it's still early in the season they will or can probably do it. The Bengals fired their OC after 2 games! Don't agree with their move but it did happen... Hawks brass has more balls than that so if they get rid of someone it will be in offseason.

Right, but they promoted from within.

Who is on the Seahawks staff right now that we're confident is going to step in and blow Bevell or Cable out of the water?

No one but that's also up to the Hawks to determine the qualifications of the other coaches. This is why it's silly to even call for the OC to be fired during the season because you have to be able to promote from within if you do. If the offense continues to struggle and they caved in and fired Bevell, the season is over anyway.

Cable isn't just the Oline coach he is the assistant HEAD COACH also. His focus is on the oline but that isn't all he does so his incompetence might span more than just one area. just saying
