I'm going with Jacobs this week. Some great performances by others but most of them in meaningless circumstances. Jacobs set the tone in that SNF game when all the chips were on the table.

Going with Tannehill in a very meaningful game. Tenn usually relies on the RB"s but needed all of Tanny's 4 TD's to ensure HFA and first round bye with the no#1 seed, huge giving Henry another week to recuperate

Went with Jacobs - no one really blew it out of the water this week, and what amounted to a (almost) play or go home game, he came up with some really big runs, including the 3rd down run in OT to set up the FG.

As an aside - anyone else feel like they were both happy to simply tie until the Chargers decided to call a timeout forcing LA to go for the 1st down? I think LAS would have simply sat on the ball...

Officially, Carr said the timeout changed his mindset. They always wanted to win but Im not sure it was realistic until the timeout.

Staley's timeout is literally the worst decision a coach made this year.

I had assumed the same, but Barnwell had great story on LAC timeout, so my mind has changed regarding topic the timeout LAC_timeout

Regarding Carr quote, first portion leads you to believe timeout factored... but when you read the entire statement that immediately followed, Raiders were trying to win so they could avoid KC in first round of playoffs if possible.

"Yeah, it definitely did, obviously."
"But we knew no matter what we didn't want a tie,"

Chargers wanted to sub on a better run defense package... which they did, and backfired. They were expecting a running play and wanted to keep it a long field goal that Raiders may not have tried if over 50 yards due to potential block or run back.

Whats funny about that is that Staley's specialty as a DC was shutting down run plays from Shotgun. Thats what the Rams did last year to be the best defense in the league. It was the big news in KC this offseason that the Chiefs were going to have to figure out how to run in situations outside of RPO. The Chargers dont have Aaron Donald or Ramsey, though.

So the timeout basically meant that both teams knew the Raiders wanted about 5 more yards so they went from weak v weak to strong v strong. Interesting.

Gotta go with Brady cause not only did he put up decent numbers but he also put his team first when he helped gronk set the record
