BYU is #67 on both kenpom and RPI. They aren't going to end up as being a quality win, regardless of what happens in the WCC title game. New Mexico State is St. Mary's 2nd quality win.

Really think they're screwed. 2 top 50 wins with 2 sub-100 losses. Terrible OOC schedule. Committee has a long tradition of sending a team with this type of resume to the NIT.

Dumb fucks need to learn their lesson and improve the OOC schedule. Need to stop hoping 1 or 2 wins against the Zags will get them in the tourney

Take it FWIW, but BPI gives St Mary's a .5% chance of making the tournament. They are certainly not a lock, I would most likely have then in Dayton at the moment. But they are in for a long week because teams behind them still have opportunities. I don't think they are safe by any stretch and it's going to come down to what teams behind them on the s curve do. They need to hope teams like ND, Louisville, Cuse, Baylor, Oklahoma State, Marquette all lose early.

Saint Mary's already gets help by either Oklahoma or Oklahoma State losing in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament, they will more than likely also get help from some bubble teams from the ACC, Pac 12 and SEC.

Never said they were a lock. I said that I think they are in the tournament, regardless of their losses to bad teams. I also stated that I think it's ridiculous to think they wouldn't be in and I stated reason to back up my opinion.

My bad. Thought you had mentioned somewhere earlier you thought they were. I don't think it's ridiculous if they were to get left out. They've only beaten 1 tournament team caliber team(whether BYU gets in or not). I think best case for them is Dayton.

If New Mexico State makes the NCAA tournament, they will have 4 wins against 3 NCAA tournament teams. If not, they still have 3 wins against teams that will make the tournament. They have 2 losses against BYU and Gonzaga. The other 3 losses are against Washington State, Georgia and San Francisco. Their resume is not that bad and their quality wins outweigh their bad losses. With the help they are more than likely gonna get from bubble teams in the ACC, SEC and Pac-12, I think St. Mary's AT LEAST gets a first four matchup. But I wouldn't be surprised if they are a 10 seed somewhere in the actual tourney.

When I reference tournament wins, I'm talking about at-large caliber. The only quality win they will have is Gonzaga. I'm not counting a team that wins the auto out of a 1 bid league.

Those losses to the 11th place teams in the Pac-12 and SEC are probably what would keep the Gaels out. Just win those and they're 30-3 and still ranked in the top 25 in the polls.
