Kovalev won the fight
just watched the fight again. There was no way Ward won that fight. Was it a close fight ....sure, but he shouldn't have been given the victory.
I've seen enough fights when a guy gets knocked down (in this case in the 2nd round, that's very early) and still manage to win the fight. It was a flash knock down Ward got up in like 4 seconds. He got his bell rung sure, I don't think he was ever in trouble of being knocked out though. I really thought the fight was a Draw, but I can make a case for either fighter being the winner. K, had some moments, but in terms of rounds won I won't say Ward dominate but I think he won the majority of the rounds.
Hard to have a draw with boxing rules and only one knockdown. I've thought for a long time that they need to revamp the scoring rules and the 10 point must system. Not sure this fight made a particularly strong case for that though. This was a close fight by most any scoring rules.
Should be a rematch. I felt like Kovalev won as well.
I don't think many people are comprehending that it could have been scored either way. It was that great of a fight.
1 day away, who ya'll got?
I'm leaning Ward by decision.
I dunno still.
By the end of the fight Ward definitely had Kovalev figured out. So half of me thinks he handles business easly.
But the other half thinks Kovalev should have won the first fight and has 10x the motivation to get better, go harder, and fight differently. So I'm not betting on this fight.
Me too. I wish somebody had requested the Bookie set this up.
I think Kov if he adjusts will knock him out badly. It will be a beating. Otherwise the mitts are worn out by the third and they bare knuckle box for 25 rounds.
any ko will do for me.......but id like to see ward suffer
i'm going wif the other guy...
