Got a whole bunch of projects to finish up this weekend so I can free up my Saturday's for a few months

Well I dug a hole for myself with telling my wife "I promise I will have it done before CFB starts." I've been dragging out converting the stairs from carpet to wood for 6 months and my sons Honda Civic problems have morphed into having to replace the head gasket. I'm fucked.

Although. I'm 100% sure that there is wood under the carpet. I'll just rip the carpet up and she could live with that until January. Then she will really appreciate it when I put down the treads and risers

You poor misguided youngsters. The secret is to train the missus to have super low expectations of you. I can get a steak dinner for not pissing in the floor, even if I have to use the bathtub. I need to start posting some online courses.
