I'm thinking most of those guys sign contracts between now and then, but there will be a big crop next year. Man, those names mean that without contracts the 2012 trade deadline could have some interesting moves.

Wonder if they would be willing to deal Hamels. Not like they are hurting for sp and Hamels may be a #1 type. Or at least a CJ type.

Matt kemp is gone from that list. 8 yr deal worth 160. Wow......the kid is good but this is a ludicrous contract

he was 1 homer from the 40-40 club. he led the NL in homers, RBI's, runs scored, finished 3rd in batting average. it's the kind of deal you make with a player you're looking to build around.

oh and he also led the NL in total bases and in OPS+

Granted the kid is just now hitting his prime at 27 years, but he had one stellar year and the rest are just average.

That is the kind of deal the Angels give players like GMJ.
