Adam Smith was a beast down the stretch. Hopefully we can play .333 to .500 basketball when we aren't facing the top 25.

Rebounding is really a struggle though.

If no one was there to see it, does it still count as a win?

Y'all trash UVa all the time for having no attendance at football games, so I flipped the script.

VT sold more season tickets for basketball this year than last year, so it's trending the right direction. The ultimate cure is winning, so Pitt was a step in the right direction.

Down 4 at the half, 32-28. We led for a good chunk of the half and truthfully, we should be up 6 to 8 points. But we played pretty sloppy at times and Mueller is really struggling. Whatever heat he had last game is gone because he's clanked several wide open shots. Neither team is playing all that well so the score is still close but its a little frustrating to see Wake struggle and know we've had plenty of chances to build a lead and fail in just about all of them.

The positive is Bibbs is back playing. He didn't get the start but came in and played a few minutes and looked ok. The announcers mentioned he's on a minutes restriction so we'll see how it goes.

These refs are fucking terrible. Both teams made it to the bonus with like 11 mins left in the 2nd half. The NCAA wants more fouls called because the college game has gotten too physical but this is overkill. There is zero game flow. If your jersey grazes a guy, its a foul. Fucking ridiculous.

62-61 WF with roughly 3 mins left. We've been down by 10 but have slowly cut the lead. What's troubling is we're still playing pretty darn sloppy so chances to sustain runs are snuffed out by our bad play. We really need to tighten up if we're gonna win

73-70 WF win. Bibbs had a good look to tie but missed. But prior to that, we cut it to one and like Croc said, we foolishly wasted time before fouling. It goes along with the rest of the afternoon, just sloppy. This is the first time all season I've really been disappointed. We pretty much executed the gameplan we wanted, marginalized Wake's Devin Thomas, and generally put WF into spots we wanted but failed to capitalize due to untimely poor play. We had 11 TOs, which might not seem like a lot, but it easily could have been double that. And those near TOs derailed possessions and led to bad shots.

I was at the game yesterday. While both teams have obvious weaknesses (Wake simply put, just cannot shot and it didn't look like VT had any presence in the post at all), it was a very enjoyable game to watch. Both teams played hard and it went right down to the wire.

Good luck the rest of the way, Hokie fans!

Sorry, I gotta disagree with croc and turkey on the fouling. I thought we were waiting for a guy who is not a great FT shooter to handle the ball before we fouled. We wasted 13 sec but still had a chance to tie at the end. It isn't like we let the clock run down to single digits. The fouling the right guy strategy worked great vs Syracuse. We almost pulled that one out. And I like seeing the guys make an intelligent decision on who to foul rather than just grab whoever has the ball. It makes me feel like Buzz is coaching them up.
