It rears its head every other season it seems. I don't recall it happening in certain years the last 5-6 years but then I remember a bunch of games where :30 in they are down 1-0.

I took my boys to the Florida game and we were waiting to get to our seats because play just started (concession line got us) and under a minute in they got scored on, before we even got to our seats. Then right off the bat in the 2nd Budaj lets in another one too - both of which I think he should have stopped from my vantage point and in the middle of the streak where he was giving up 1-2 softies a game which probably prompted Dumbo to look more into Bishop.

I think Mon against the Blues can really set the tone of how this season ends. The more I see Iginla the more I like the pickup, he already is playing better then he was in Col and almost looks 37 again. I think the confidence is there with the team and if Kopi, Gabbs and Iginla continue to produce they will have a shot to make the post season.....and we all know that's all these guys need is a shot

I thought the Blues would go into the tank but they are playing hard. Now given how easy their schedule is, the worry meter (Kings missing the PO) has shot up to high.

Agreed. The Kings are on very thin ice and I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't make it. Magnifies the importance of some games this season where a goal here or there or a big save here or there could've made a difference.

Still holding on to hope they will get that second Wild Card but a lot of things will need to go right. And if it does, I think the Kings have a legitimate shot to win it all because the confidence will be there.

Yeah it's all pretty unfortunate heading down the stretch that Quick took so long to get back. He hasn't lost in regulation in his 4 starts back, and this team just has a different confidence with him in net (Confidence plus the huge saves he makes). But their scoring has also been up lately, and they seem to be more confident of late.

Huge game tonight, and I would say LA's best bet to make the Playoffs is to catch Edmonton, if not St. Louis. Calgary can't seem to lose lately, and the Kings are within 7 points with a game in hand. That's a good sized gap for sure, but LA plays Edmonton three times (Also Calgary three times).

Stacked against LA are a lot of things though. Points back being #1, as 7 points is a lot to be behind with 15 games left. The Blues schedule is really easy after this West Coast road trip. Calgary has a lot of games at home as well (Though ironically they've played better on the road).
