How many games did Kalil miss before last year? Reiff is not an upgrade...

I am not particularly excited about the Reiff (or Remmers) signing either, but let's be real, Kalil has had health issues for awhile now. He's beem banged up frequently since his 2nd year in the league, but played through most of it. That doesn't mean that the injuries haven't attributed to his subpar production, and makes his season ending injury last year a bigger deal.

But look at Kalil's deal he got with Carlonia... $55.5 mil w/ 31 mil guaranteed. Reiff's looks like about a $58.75 mil base with $26 mil guaranteed, both 5 years. I think those deals pretty comparable. Both players have had similar production in recent years, though Kalil has the weight of being basically a bust as a Viking drafted #4 overall plus a lot more injury issues hanging over him. I'll go with the guy who has the better health record in this scenario, especially when you consider that Kalil clearly didn't want to be here when he turned down a good offer to stay with the Vikes to go play with his brother in Carolina.

Good. Murray's cap hit is just over 2 mil for 2017, and his total 3 year contract is $15 million compared to the insane $18 million AP still seems to stubbornly believe he is worth for just 2017 alone. I'm willing to be AP expected over $6mil a year to stay in MN, probably closer to 10. I wouldn't have wanted AP back for anything more than a 1-2 year deal at $2mil / year at his age with his off-field, injury, and generally bad attitude baggage. The Vikes honestly probably should have tried trading him a few years ago when he still had signficant value.

He'll be a good addition providing he stays healthy.

After all that, Reiff is still not an upgrade...
