six year ago today this epic rant was recorded after the worst performance in redskins history ...

how far have we come in those 6 years ?

our record on national television has not improved much ...

but here is to getting the job done this sunday night

nobody would say you would be wrong with that argument ... i hope they invest 2 of their first 3 picks ... and a big FA signing to adress the DL

but coming to that conclusion based on the result of them going up against the best Oline in the league is hardly fair ...

but, on the other hand... I suppose they would be the measuring stick


All 3 compenents of the defense (DL, LB, DB) can not be judged in a vacume.

we say the DL is not getting pressure ... they suck.

but DB not giving them that extra second could also be a contributing factor



Cooley made some interesting suggestions in his film break down

he believes Cravens is best fit to be playing at safety ....

he believes the talent at MLB is adequate to replace him ...

while he would be a big upgrade over Duke & Donte

seeing they are inadequate vs the best would be exactly where i would start to judge them . we cant win super bowls without controlling the LOS on both sides of the ball and face it against good team our d/line is below avg

as for moving cravens to safety i am not sure yet . i would like a couple of tall ex cbs there who moved to safety in college and on 3rd down or passing downs you get cravens into "spy " mode or on a strong TE in coverage . a hybrid safety/lb and 2 more conventional safeties

but again i am just not sure yet without looking at film

true ... Cooley point tho was our play at safety at this point is inadequate

and moving him to safety now doesnt necessarily mean it would be a permanent move.

i hope we can find a starter at safety with our 2nd pick in the draft &/or FA
