So I have no clue about this betting stuff. I understand the over and under, but what is the second number listed out there for some teams?

It's got to do with the wager and the basis of a $100 bet or win. If you see -125, it means you'd need to bet $125 to win $100. It helps balance out the betting instead of adjusting the total number of wins.

So, what I get from that is Bama @ 10.5 is a pretty sure bet since you have to put down 150 to get 100 in return?
And then anyone without the numbers listed out there is a 1 to 1 bet? Bet $100 = Win $100?

Yep.

And those rates can change as bets come in. In the case with Bama, if it starts pushing much over 150 for 100, they'll probably move the line to 11.

Winning 11 games or more isn't easy. betting on Alabama means you are on Alabama fan.

Just about every SEC gives their best game to Alabama, and the Florida State game is not a gimme.

I already looked at the Wisconsin, Washington, and Oklahoma schedules. I like that all three of them can lose 2 games and I still win.

I have not analyzed the Oregon shedule, but to go from a bad team to 8 wins or more with a new coach, I ain't buying it. With a brief cursory look, Oregon has 11 games that they could lose. I don't know enough about the PAC 12 to know which team is the weak sister. I know Arizona, Az State, Cal, and Oregon State are not good, but some of them beat Oregon last year.

Bets I like, whatever I have to bet to win $100
Oklahoma over
Wisconsin over
Washington over

Make this my second strong bet. Oregon can go 7-5 and I make my money.
Oregon under

Normally, I do not bet on Nebraska but in this case I would make Nebraska a STRONG bet, meaning I would bet more money on this one

Nebraska over

How I bet, I look at all the 6 win teams and 6.5 win teams and see if I think any of them can win 7 games or more. Winning 7 is not hard now a days because every team has at least 2 cupcakes.

Vegas bettors need to get their shit together because they have Michigan at 9 wins but also have Michigan with the 5th best odds to win the national title.

Marvelous.

Or were you talking football???
I know we are all GQ models with super model wives. I was looking more at achieving their teams over under.

Go, Gamecocks!

It's not a given, though. Three losses looming with Florida, Georgia, and Clemson. The FCS opponent this year is a 6-0 Wofford.

Looks like the best chance is to knock off Vanderbilt in two weeks. Good thing we get the bye to prepare.

Bowl games do not count on Las Vegas Season Over/Under bets.
Conference Championships don't count.
CFP games don't count.

Florida State is a loser if you bet the over.

Any idiot who bet Nebraska over is sweating.

Luckily, I made zero bets when I was in Las Vegas. Which was a first for me.
