Seems like this stuff is going to need a home as the draft approaches and deals start to be made. Here's one that's apparently in progress:

Just looking at Chicago's roster without Kruger and TVR and essentially the only guys left behind I've heard of besides their NMC'ed stars are Richard Panik, Michael Rozsival and Jordin Tootoo. If the cap stays at $73 mil, they'll still be $600k over it even without those two.

The Flames will take Gustav Forsling and send their 2018 2nd round draft pick to Chicago. That takes 675,000 grand off the cap for Chi-town.

I don't get this for Vegas unless they covet both Kruger (I find this hard to believe) and TVR.

There is basically no way that TVR won't be exposed. Why help Shitcago out of their jam? Just take the guy you want and move on.

Must be, but it better be a decent one. Kruger is very meh for a $3M player. Hardly the type of player I'd want if I was able to start a team with a clean slate.

I think he's an okay 3C option. Had his even strength GA down to 1.73/60 last season, even if he doesn't produce for shit.

And remember, Vegas needs to make the cap floor both this season and next.

This was the last season of Pronger's contract.

/That $1.2 mil is why you don't send a kid (Dubas) to negotiate trades with one of the most senior execs in the league. Still, it's whatever. Probably no Matthews here if Phil's still around.
