In the 28th century, Valerian (Dane DeHaan) and Laureline (Cara Delevingne) are a team of special operatives charged with maintaining order throughout the human territories. Under assignment from the Minister of Defense, the two embark on a mission to the astonishing city of Alpha—an ever-expanding metropolis where species from all over the universe have converged over centuries to share knowledge, intelligence and cultures with each other. Visually I think it looks cool. I'm a fan of this type of visuals. The story...meh. The cast..meh. I'll watch it when it hits HBO on a free preview weekend in 8 months.

The movie looks visually spectacular. But the pre-reviews appear to be fairly average.

It could be huge. Avatar was a shitty story but people generally loved it.

We will see.
