Who do you think should have been BigTen POY?
Personally I would've gone with Yogi. Getting that team to where they finished was amazing

The stats don't back that up.

They went 3-1 with him out. That loss was to Iowa by 13.

After he came back they lost 3 in a row, including to Iowa by 16.

5 of their 6 losses were with Valentine healthy.

You quoted me, but obviously didn't even read what I wrote:

His time away and their performance during the recoup period hammer his value completely. Remember, they were undefeated in nonconference play, dropped some games while Valentine was away and working his way back, and looked close to unstoppable until that bizarre first round KO. Brice is a great college player, but he didn't mean as much to his team, nor did he have the impact via observable stats, as Valentine.

He wasn't fully healed or back in the swing right away - during the period he was out and when he was working his way back, that's when they lost every game during the regular season and Big 10 Tourney.

Good call about Johnson. He led the Tar Heels to the ACC regular season & tourney titles. He also set a Carolina record for most double-doubles in a season. And Hield just had an incredible season.

Quick question, speaking of stats. Who had a better season?

pts 17
assists 1.5
reb 10.4
stl 1.1

or....

pts 23.3
assists 9.4
reb 7.5
stl 1.3

No blocks...no percentages...no PER?

Plus player A is the better defender.

Pretty sure player A is Brice Johnson. Have no idea who player B is though. Tried looking up some stats from last season & didn't find anyone that averaged 9.4 apg. The closest was Kay Felder of Oakland who averaged 9.3 apg. Can't be him though, his #'s from last year were: 24.4 ppg, 9.3 apg, 4.3 rpg & 2.0 spg. So w/o knowing exactly who player B is I really can't answer your question.
