Seems like one or both teams will score 121 points in this game.

This game almost feels like whoever can get a defensive 9-0 run will win.

Let’s see, the Jazz are 28 for 38 for two pointers, and have outshot the kings 18 to 9 on free throws, but yet we have taken twenty 3s? If being aggressiveness is getting two point shots, don’t die by the three. I understand that you have to shoot threes in order for the defense to be spread out to get the two, but make your damn three-pointers.

This game is the definition of a bad win for whoever wins it.

Either team could have made the game so much easier if they had just defended for a few minutes stretch, and not made the game so close.

Close games are ok when going against elite teams.

Neither of these teams are elite.

Based on shooting percentage, no defense. But by score, seems normal for 2022 standards.

Again, I don’t want to pay attention to the Jazz. This is where we are supposed to win some games against bad record teams (Spurs/Pistons) or test ourselves against similar record teams (Kings/Pacers). I like beating New Orleans and Memphis twice, but who we are is nowhere if we can’t just go in and win these games, too.

I'm thinking a young perimeter defender would help.

Not sure what to do about the rebounding, as neither Olynyk nor Markkanen are great rebounders. Vanderbilt's rebounding numbers look good, but I don't think he does enough to warrant more minutes overall.

Maybe that young perimeter defender needs to also be a good rebounder.

The game was there for the taking. I even told them what to do: Go on a 9-0 defensive run.

I know that Jefferson game.

It was after his grandmother died.

It was similar to Carlos Boozer scoring 34 on 13-17 FG the day after Chris Kaman was named an injury All-Star replacement, and not Boozer. The Jazz just happened to play the Clippers, with Kaman, after that announcement.

(BTW, positions don't matter when selecting injury replacements. The commissioner picks what's best for the team, not necessarily a replacement at the same position. In fact, if you look at the history of injury replacements, bigs often replace guards and guards often replace bigs.

In this case, Chris Kaman replaced Brandon Roy.)

"Booz was just a monster tonight and he proved that he should have been on the All-Star team. I think that's basically what he was doing tonight," point guard Deron Williams said.
