The playoff if we slip to 4th would probably be against the winner of Syria vs. Australia/Saudi Arabia. Syria might be the easiest draw of the 3 on paper, but the political situation could complicate things.

US Soccer is not very good. Costa Rica is better. US is now officially an inferior CONCACAF team. No reason to make it to the 2018 World Cup.

The end of that game was embarrassing. Jose takes a stupid yellow card. Out against Honduras now. Dempsey lucky he didn't get a red. That elbow just a bit higher and he is out too. Thinking about themselves instead of the team. They are not dead yet so no reason to be stupid and cost themselves the next game too.

Geoff Camerno and Ream played like shit on the back line

It's tough to put into words how poorly they played. Ream did get better in the second half, but better than horrible doesn't exactly cut it. I can't remember seeing Cameron playing this badly and it was all night long. Not like it was one or two plays. It was all night. But a lot of other guys played pretty poorly too. Howard, for example, played that goal like an amateur.
