The top 6 remain unchanged.

Georgia, TCU and San Diego State climbed 4 spots in the poll this week.

Florida State dropped 14 spots, Oklahoma State lost 7 spots, and Mississippi State lost 5 spots.

No new teams entered the top 25.

Ohio State has 8 teams ranked ahead of them. And they would probably go 5-3 if they played all 8 teams that are supposedly better than them. Rankings are not something to rely on if you were actually betting money on the games.

If OU played like they did yesterday...or if Baylor played like THEY did yesterday, these polls would all be meaningless until after the final week of the season.

Thank Gog it's a season and not just one game.

This is why we play the games fellas, nothing is set in stone and anything can happen. *(except for 'Bama, they're robotic Terminators or some shit)

p.s. I love Baker's competitive fire but if he doesn't shut his mouth and just play football from here on out.....

@OregonDucks

How does it feel to be tied to a team that went into OT with Iowa State?

Exactly right. And it's the argument I make when I advocate an eight team playoff. Teams have a bad game once in awhile and it doesn't mean they should be blasted completely out of the playoff.......especially when a weaker team gets in because it played a schedule that was easier or maybe they only had a couple of really tough games all season. Money will eventually force a bigger playoff but the net effect will be positive for college football because a lot more really, really good teams will be fighting for the NC at the end of the season in spite of a team or two blowing a game along the way.

Most years there aren't 8 deserving teams. I think 8 is way too many. I agree $$ may force the playoffs to expand though.

Last year Washington and Ohio St got rolled. The clear two best teams played for the NC and it all worked out. Why add a 3 game teams have to play just to add some cannon fodder.

I wish Iowa didn't get any votes. They haven't looked Top 25 at all. Defense is tough but offense and return teams needs a lot of work.

And I contend any team in the top 8 has at least a puncher's chance of winning a game or two or maybe all 3 games in a playoff. If your team lost a game during the season because of key injuries and it kept Ohio State out of a 4-team playoff (that everyone knew they had a chance to win because they were back at full strength) you would be shouting about being left out. All of us want to see the best teams in a playoff. If there are typically a couple of teams that are decided underdogs then so be it. An expanded playoff resolves a lot more issues than it causes.

And Zeke's last year, I was mad we were left out because that was one of our most talented teams. But we didn't win all our games, so at the end of the day it was accepted why the Bucks werent in the playoffs.

FALSE. I see this a lot.

Spots 9-13 will be bitching in a 8 team playoff.

More teams weakens the regular season. Earn your way in by winning the games.

Almost every single year there are not 8 championship caliber teams. Most years there aren't even 6. Why add more spots and an extra game just for the hell of it. 4 has worked perfectly so far.

That's where I think format comes in. 5 conference champions. Use rankings only to determine the three at large bids. And the non play off bowls imo
