This is what think is going to happen. I think Urbs will keep his job, but this no doubt is going to kill our recruiting from this recruiting cycle imo. Kiss Harrison goodbye. He will go to scUM or PSU after this news. Honestly though, if Meyer had any scoop on whether Smith's ex was threatened or intimidated with Urbs knowledge of knowing it, he has to go. It's a shame that we have to go through another coaching nightmare again. Let's just see how this all comes about.

In today's world you just never know. It doesn't look like anything but there is the question about Florida and the DC and OC both have had issues. Then this guy. The new contract addition this summer is the big one to me. I would have bet money when I first heard about it today I thought no way anything happens to this guy he is just to important to their success. But it has taken turn for the worst.

Ohio St is fortunate in a way that this new came out before the season. I see Meyer being reinstated in a few weeks before 1st game if no further news comes out. If a tiny bit of info comes out that he might have known then I see him being suspended 2 games not 3 they want him back for TCU. If information is discovered that he knew of the abuse and didn’t report it, well it appears he will be on to his 3rd team. My guess back for TCU game. Remember guys recruits don’t decide to go play for a team solely on who the HC is. Your recruiting might take a few hits but I don’t see it being crushing.

I think this along with the ongoing diving scandal is a no win for TOSU. He (Meyer) will agree to a settlement and will walk away.

So now we are going to have this long investigation on this matter which leads me into believing Meyer will remain as our HC. Anyway, no way will this we done by September 1st.. When do lawyers ever rush to get things done. It's going to cost a lot of money either way how this ends.

That has been the rumor of late. IMO if Meyer was getting canned, a settlement would be in the works already. Another interesting thing here is why Smith has not said his piece yet? I don't blame him speaking to the media, but regardless, there is a lot of stuff being left out.

Exactly a lot of pieces that don’t add up. But her coming out righ after the firing makes sense.

From everything I have read and the comment I posted from Bucknuts 247 in post 11, it sounds like this was a toxic marriage from the get go and both are living drunks. I even wonder if she was the instigator for hitting him first and he was self defending himself? Either way, what a nightmare for the university and the HC. Why are the haters so quick to jump to conclusions?

As a 49ers fan watching the Reuben Foster case unfold I try not to rush to judgement. I'll wait and see how it unfolds but if this story is true and he did know and did nothing he should resign.

I don't think he's gotten enough heat for that. Nasser happening at the same time probably took a little heat off him because that was such a huge story.

So the good news is that we will know one way or another the fate of Urbs. This investigation will be completed in 14 days according to this article. My thoughts on this are if Meyer was going to be fired, it would have happened already or he would have been forced to resign. I also don't understand how you can suspend the guy if the investigation team doesn't find him at fault.. He is either guilty or not guilty, no? So I suspect we will be seeing Urbs going full throttle in two weeks and nailing the recruiting trail again and getting this team fired up. Just my opinion.
