If you can get JD on a four year or less deal, DD should do it.I'd much rather go after J.D. Martinez and move Hanley back to 1B if we're going to free agency to fix 1B/DH. At least Martinez is an elite hitter. For all the people bitching about the lack of power in the Sox lineup, Hosmer will do little to improve that. Martinez is hitting .300/.362/.574 with 128 home runs over the last four years and he's only had one season with more than 120 games. He's been among the best power hitters in the league over that span.
