Was reported here in the tribune today that ulis will select his school tomorrow night at the marion catholic football game....now they said sparty was a long shot cuz of the physical style we play.....iowa and kentucky are now the front runners..

How did izzo lose him? Hes been recruiting him for years now.....its travis waltons cousin.

Im starting to get worried...all the time izzo has put into chicago the last few years and now okafor, ulis and alexander are prolly going to follow parker and shun the spartans.

I guess thats what you get when you run a clean program.

you should worry...it's all your fault! dammit, that's your zone responsibility.
guess we'll just have to content ourselves with what we've got now...cop a natty and re-man with 3's and 4's as usual. (will be sweet to smash all those punkass UK one-dones in their only match with the team they should have picked in the first place...fuq em!).
Hell, I'm even hoping scUM puts the bone on Parker n Puke in the ACC/B1G this year.

Bodiddley Johnson wants a shot too...

snagged this from another site's story about the dearth of PGs left out there since Ulis chose UK.

Next up for the Spartans seems to be Lourawls Nairn, who is taking an official visit to East Lansing this weekend.

You'll never find, it'll take the end of all time
Someone to understand you like I do
You'll never find the rhythm, the rhyme
All the magic we shared, just us two

Not surprised he chose Kentucky but you are wrong, Fran offered him a scholarship first before Izzo or Calipari...in any case, not sure what this kid is thinking, too small for NBA so he should have been smart enough to look for a good academic school as well. Going to Kentucky as a plan B? wow, and nothing really to say the kid will end up being good anyway, just has the potential.

McCaffery might have 'offered' first, but Izzo's been actively following ('interest' recruiting) Ulis's progress almost as long as Fran's been at Iowa. Talented midget PGs are rare...he'll do well at UK (if they let him play) and cop a good education in Lexington. Hell, Cleaves here has been touting the kid since the old cbs days. Izzo's Chicago sights (Parker, Okafor, Jones, Alexander) were set perhaps a tad too high - he's a god in Michigan, but just another elite cbb school coach when it comes to recruiting Chicago talent, it would seem.

Fran might of offered first, but i live 5 mins from marion catholic.....seen this kid play for a few years now.....been a few articles in the tribune over the past 3-4 yrs about izzo here checking him out. He was a 2-3 star recruit when izzo first started showing up. It was thought to be a slam dunk for sparty around a year ago for sparty....especially with walton being his cousin.....izzo has been here recruiting chicago for awhile now....hasnt went well, but at one time alexander and ulis were thought to be future spartans.

Has to make you think what some colleges can offer...tyler goes to iowa or sparty, hes a 4 yr star....at kentucky, you never know how many other players over the next few years he has to battle for playing time....next year coach cal will have another recruiting class as usual.

Yeah he keeps winning the silver medal.....which is nothing in recruiting.....gotta land someone....still hoping for alexander....i guess sparty doesnt pay well enough. Kids scared to play a little ruff n tough ball.

Maybe we need to bite the bullet and get with the times. It's pretty standard operating procedure these days to receive your "recruiting gift" prior to any official commitments. Running around E. Lansing holding a bible in one hand and a NCAA rule book in the other had us short a point guard heading in to 2014. But then again I don't blame Tommy for being gun shy. After all he did once get a one game suspension by the NCAA for talking to a guy at Quality Dairy in East Lansing that once met a guy who ran into a guy while at the airport in Atlanta, that had once met a women whose daughter dated a kid that was friends with another kid, who once told someone via twitter while still in the first grade, that he may or may not want to some day play basketball for Michigan State.
