I have Rickey Henderson LF 70's. I want for my bench Player A who played LF from the 70's but according MLB Pro Reference he played
OF 1703 games
RF 990 games
LF 532 games

So why can't I take him? It's not like the 1703 games were in the infield but says OF which LF is.

So, if I want a guy to play 2nd base on my bench but he played 876 games at SS and 712 at 2B can I say well it's not like his games were in the OF. There's a reason it lists LF, RF or CF it's because they are 3 different positions...

If it says INF for majority of games played then you could put him there is my wrong logic. Your example is a no because majority of games at SS and you want him at 2B. But if said majority at INF then I don't see why you couldn't. Pro reference has majority at OF.
