I saw that, but if you are the Head coach literally in the middle of your season with a big game coming up against Navy, and for the sake of argument you PLAN TO LEAVE for Greener Pastures.... would you act/react any differently than Scott Frost does in this article?

But like I have said to friends. Maybe he want to be remember for being our QB. Maybe the expectations are to big at Nebraska. UCF is for him. Have 1 great year in 10(what he is doing this year). 2 to 3 good years (8-4 ish) works for him.

and you could very well be correct. He might like being a Big fish in a small pond...Truth is nobody can really say for sure. I know if it were me, i would weigh in the fact i have a child on the way, Lincoln is a great place to raise children, less to worry about environmentally, less to worry about with crime, less traffic, and do you really go from OC of a P5 to HC of a G5 to only stay at the G5? not only would he make more money here but that all mighty dollar goes a lot further in Nebraska than it does in Orlando Florida...

Did you see the UCF is trying to get ahead of this and pay more money to Frost.
UCF fires preemptive financial strike at Nebraska to keep Scott Frost in Orlando

All for not. They'd have to come up with at least a $1 million/yr contractual raise on top of his already $2 million/yr. contract. They would also have to show a solid commitment to either going Independent or joining a P5 conference. Big 12 expansion would be the only option there.

Since there has been no solid buzz about the Big 12 expanding, he gone after this season. He'll be offered $3.5 million/yr somewhere in a P5.

Nebraska won't be the only player though. There could be up to 6 P5's, with coaches on warm or hot seats, that could easily pay him $3.5 million/yr.

He was diplomatic in his rhetoric without personally committing anything beyond this season. I assume his agent had a part in his words.

Not sure what UCF's contractual obligation to the AAC is but if they want to play for NC's they'd have to at least go Independent a la Notre Dame or BYU.
Unfortunately Notre Dame has it's own TV contract and BYU has it's own TV channel.

I'd think the Big 12 would like to get a footprint into Florida, but would they be attracted to a school who's stadium seats 45,000? Memphis, Colorado St, Houston, and Boise St are all still waiting on courtship.
To be fair, Houston wouldn't add to the Big 12 footprint. There are already 4 Texas schools in the Big 12.
Boise has (or had) somewhat of a national footprint, but doesn't have a lot of TV sets.
Memphis and Colorado St have TV sets, but crickets from the Big 12 for 6 years now other than message board rumor.
I assume it's because of stadium size.

Tony Dungy says Nebraska missed their opportunity to hire Frost as has every other P5 school. Says he's staying there.

What the fuck does Tony Dungy know?!
