What are you guys thoughts on the Suns trade?

I'm trying really hard to find a silver lining for these guys, especially after the Spurs Pacquio'd them the other night.

But, I think I like the move to get Payton.

He can't shoot for shit.

But, he doesn't have to playing with Booker and Warren.

Plus, he and Booker have terrific size at 6'4 and 6'6.

Book ain't playing a lick of defense. But, Payton will.

For a 2nd rounder?

No first round pick is worthless and the Lakers have done very well with late first round and even 2nd round picks.

Personally, I'm hoping they can trade it with Deng tied to it.

Playing Booker at the point wasn't the answer either.

The Brandon Knight trade, Thomas signing sent this Team into the toilet.

Doesn’t fit the team objective. If he wasn’t good enough for the Cavs he won’t be much of an option for a team that runs virtually no pick and roll offense. Without that Rose is useless.

Couple interesting names on the buyout market could be Joe Johnson and Channing Frye. Two guys who could provide some sorely needed scoring. The real tricky part is who the Warriors Waive to make room for any additions.
