Great point. I actually like Payne but not for Gibson and McBuckets

What I heard was that the Bull really like Payne ... we'll see. (so it more of going after Payne than just dumping 2 guys)

But still...even for Gibson straight up is bad and they gave away their best 3 pt shooter. Gibson was good defensive guy, rebounder, mid-range guy...11 and 7 he was getting. Mcbuckets was getting 10 a night shooting 38% from deep off the bench.

Gibson is UFA in off-season -- sounds like Bulls were not going to try to re-sign him.

It will be interesting to see McBuckets for OKC. If he gets even 1/2 of the open 3s that Roberson got -- he could really help.

CONGRATS TO THE WINNERS

Dallas- Got Nerlens Noel for dirt cheap imo. No sure thing, but I think it's a great deal for them.
Raptors- Serge+PJ are great fits, exactly what they needed, threat to CLE imo now.
Pelicans- I mean. Are we supposed to congratulate rapists? They bent Sacramento over.
Thunder- Taj & McBuckets are very solid role players that will help Russ a little, didn't give up much.
Rockets- Lou Will is a great fit, that bench is scary.

CONGRATS TO THE "MEH, YOU DID STUFF"!

Wizards- Bojan... ok, but I mean. Alright.
Lakers- Got a pick for Lou Will, added Ennis... ok
Hawks- Ersan joining his 175th team of his career, yay!

CONGRATS TO THE LOSERS

Boston- Should've landed Butler or George imo, hard to call them losers since they will get a top 3 pick most likely, but the time was now to strike.
Bulls- Should've traded Butler at his peak value. Gave Taj and McD away for a fringe backup PG.
Suns- Brandon Knight still being on the roster = MAJOR LOSS
76ers- Traded Noel for next to nothing & still have the Okafor-Embiid problem.

CONGRATS TO THE DIPSHIT IDIOTS OF THE CENTURY

Kings- HA HA HA

Forgetting anyone?

Rapists? I think Sacramento consented to being bent over. But there's a case for it, I suppose, in arguing they aren't mentally competent to consent, along the same vein that a 17 year old is not competent to consent to a bunch of different things. Statutory-like but for the mentally impaired.

Think the Raptors did good. Ibaka and Tucker could help the team snap out of its mid season funk. Surprised Boston didn't do more than what they did.

Hey, Wiggy.....now that you're a big shot lawyer.....can I interest you in some sham-wow's? I can get you a good deal.

Edit: I don't really sell them, SportsHoopla.....inside joke dating back to our time on FN.

One of the sham-wow knock off sellers was pissed at me. I went to a fair and he was showing the crowd how he could clean something up. I thought the knock-off looked like artwork cloth (don't know what it's called).

Someone was going to buy it and I told them to buy the display one. She asked me "why?" I said, "he just showed you it works and says its washable. You don't know if those other one's work." He was pissed. I then said she could test a new one and buy it if it worked. She asked him to do it, he had a crowd, so he did. It didn't work. She bought the display one. He took a break, so I don't know if he left to go get a new real one.

I was leaving, too, so I made sure he wasn't following me out of anger.

I think the Raptors are showing a sense of urgency. They have a puncher's chance.

Danny is looking to win big in his trades -- and he doesn't have to make any urgent moves. He probably wouldn't have beaten the Cavs this year anyhow -- so keep building his team.

If he keep the Nets 2017 pick -- he will probably draft a guard -- and at some point he will have to move either IT or Bradley or Smart.

Well...Bojan will help for sure and they got rid of dead weight with Nicholson and Thornton, but I'd be lying if I didn't have my heart set on Lou for the Wizards.

@purguy12 What do you think of your shitty Bulls? They gonna contend for the East and beat the Cavs now or ever? lol...Gibson and your 3 pt specialist got traded for a backup PG that was playing 11 mpg :laugh3:
Front office needs to go. I didn't think there was a way to get worse at 3pt shooting. Well they proved me wrong. Trading Gibson sucks but at least we got bench players for him. We weren't resigning him.

Toronto and OKC were the clear winners of the deadline followed by Houston IMO. Biggest loser IMO was Boston

I think they could have gotten more, but I would also be somewhat surprised if Payne is not the Bulls starting PG by season's end.

I am not sure if that speaks to how highly they value Payne, or how little they think of Rondo and MCW, but Payne seems to have fewer deficiencies than either player (of course this is based on a very small sample size of limited playing time, so who really knows?)

Dallas got Noel for dirt cheap...for the opportunity to pay him a lot very soon.

He may be worth it. He may not. Either way, they'll have tons of cap space, especially if Dirk calls it quits. They practically NEED to spend to hit the cap floor. Good gamble.

I am not gonna TOTALLY jump the gun and say Deron Williams will 100% be a Cav- but it sure seems that way.

If they end up finishing it off and getting him- they will all of a sudden have one of the better backup PGs in the NBA.

Im so glad they didnt jump the gun and do something stupid a month/6 weeks ago.

If there's anything we've learned it's that every year, the day of the deadline results in a couple players *valuable players* that could be helpful additions for playoff teams. Cavs were smart for waiting, Korver was a good pickup, now if they land one or both of D-Will/Bogut that'd help bolster their bench for sure.

Hard to see what the plan is in Chicago.

Boston can play things tight and there is still a bright side. Chicago, OTOH... ? Don't get the move they made and (more importantly) the move they didn't make.
