There may be enough interest to trade for him (he's under contract for a decent amount @ 1 yr/$18M), but his bonus is due 3/6) and cutting him is a cap hit of $8.6M. But yeah, it could very well come to that.

They absolutely need to come out of the draft with Barkley, but if Andrew Luck is right, id bet he would land with Indy with the #3

I think the Browns will take Barkley with the #1 pick. Either sign a FA QB or take the best QB left with the #4 pick. Rosen has already said he doesn't wanna play for the Browns. I don't think Darnold is top pick material.

I've read that site for draft coverage and I liked it but I sorta question their knowledge if they have Drew Brees rated #1 QB and #3 overall. Dude is 39 years old. I don't care if he's a hall of famer with some still left in the tank, I'm not ranking a guy that old that high. Athlete's abilities at that age can go south in a flash. One day they wake up and they suck because they're old.

I understand what you are saying...............but.....If you had an NFL team, say the Vikings, and you could sign any of the FA QB's, Brees would be at the top or near the top of that list.

I'm not a big fan of signing free agents. It can be a double edged sword.

I think if Brees decides he wants to keep playing, the Saints and him work something out. They are built to win now and him and Payton have so much chemistry and history and he is the perfect guy to lead that team.
Garrapolo should get signed to a long term deal by the niners but could get the franchise tag as well so that takes him out.
The only real big signings at QB I can see are Cousins (obviously) and Keenum. I think the Vikes likely keep Bridgewater of the 3 they have but I could be mistaken. Guess it depends on their play-off run a bit. Either way, at least one QB from Minny will get a big payday. Bradford will likely sign on somewhere but I doubt anybody will invest a lot on a guy who can't stay on the field.
All the rest on the list are serviceable back-ups at best.
