Like the list, personally would not put white chocolate on there ahead of guys like Stockton and CP3. He was hella flashy and fun to watch, but that got him in trouble as often as it produced highlight reel plays.

Magic and Kidd would be 1 and 2 for me.

I love Pete. He was flashy. But Kidd/Johnson/Stockton made the simple plays and were generally much more effective passers. For example, in Pete's last year in Utah he played more than 30 minutes / game -- and averaged about 3 assists / game.

Like OP stated.....

Just passing that got my ass out of the seat, not PG skills overall.

White Chocolate and Pistol are "others receiving votes" for me. They were a blast to watch because they often were on the edge of disaster. This led to some spectacular plays, but it also led to spectacular fails a little too often for me to put them in the top 5.

Loved me some Pistol Pete though. He was so much fun to watch. When I was a kid, I used to stretch out the tops of my socks so they would be "floppy" like Pistol Pete's. Used to piss my Mom off. lol

Kind of surprised no one has mentioned him yet but Mark Jackson was an amazing passer too. He had great vision, touch and had highlight reel passes.

....you know I wanted to big up Webber too.

But, he's not a guard.

#9, #3 though......

Magic Johnson is not outside the top 2. No way.

John Stockton I believe still holds the all time assists record by a long shot so... Stockton > Nash

Would be probably more interesting to list the best passing big men. I'm sure I'm missing some -- but
Sabonis, Webber, Walton, Vlade were terrific. Jokic is probably best today. (wouldn't call him great all-time yet)

An interesting one is Wilt -- he led the league in assists one season.

One thing I liked about those highlights is that he didn't seem to show anyone up. He got the crowd fired up or showed confidence like, "yeah, I just did that." But it wasn't the stare down (he did look back but it didn't seem childish).
