Went with Gordon. Kent was a better hitter, but Gordon was still one of the better offensive 2B. The gap between them defensively is huge.

I hated to vote against a Yankee, but when thinking of Yankee history Gordon seems to be one of the forgotten ones. At 2B it seems to go Cano, Lazzeri, and then Martin. Martin is only there in people's minds because of his relationship with Mantle, people forget that he wasn't that good.

I know Kent was a butcher in the field, but when discussing older players I didn't get to see play I don't trust defensive stats.
